Professional Image Of College Counselors And Its Optimization

The counselor’s work is the first front of college students. Counselors are the main force of the ideological and political education and daily management of college students with both teachers and administrators two identities. The precept and example of counselors in their daily work will undoubtedly significantly effect students, therefore, counselors need to focus on their own professional images refracted by two identities and to be close trusted friends and mentors on students’ growth path. However, there is a certain gap between the professional image of counselors and the expectation of society and students. Around the theme of University Counselors professional image, the text is divided into six parts.The first part is introduction. It mainly explores the origin and development of college counselors, and reviews the current situation of counselors’ professional image and discusses the basic ideas and research methods.The second part illustrates the history of college counselors system. It reviews the establishment and development of counselors system in colleges and universities of our country.
