A New Image Of University Counselors

College counselors are the backbone of the college students’ ideological and politicaleducation work force, bearing the main task of the university student daily thought politicaleducation work. Combination of "words" and "teaching" is a fine tradition of our party’sideological and political education work, the counselor in daily work only, pay attention topersonal image and ascension to formation with students as the harmonious relationshipbetween teachers and students, and in imperceptible influence students, to achieve educationeffect of get twice the result with half the effort. But judging from the current reality, theactual image of the college counselor and social and students for the image of the idealexpected still have certain disparity. University’s counselor has particularity is individual,customer service to the individual differences of natural conditions and the basic qualities anddefects, shape the whole image of the counselor team in colleges and universities, so as toimprove the effect of ideological and political education work, improve the overall level ofheadteachers’ purposes, should become an important problem of theory and practice researchof university counselors.Adhere to the marxist historical materialism, this paper from the perspective of thehistory and reality, the concept, the development of college counselor image and shape wereanalyzed.
