The arrival of "MicroAge" has changed people’s lives, people adapt to the tiny fragments of content. Under the impact of this kind of background, distance education curriculum designers start thinking about how to create more conducive learning course to distance learners. Facing to the trend of the Times, I think deeply about whether micro-course is suitable for distance education learners’learning environment, I decide that I will put the research point in study on the pattern of the design of distance education micro-course, in order to design the micro-course which can meet the demand of distance learners. This paper is mainly composed of six chapters:Chapter one is exordium, which mainly introduces the background of the issue, research methods, research purposes and research content about distance education micro-course.Chapter two is literature review about distance education micro-course, which mainly define the relevant concepts, explore the main elements of distance education micro-course and collate the micro-course research domestic and abroad from number of research, research content and micro-course practicing activities.Chapter three is to investigate the needs of distance learners about micro-course, mainly to find whether the distance education micro-course study is meaningful and what kind of course is the distance learners need.Chapter four is to build distance education micro-course design pattern, which is constructed by considering the learners’learning needs, drawing on Taylor’s target mode, and under the guidance of the constructivist theory, the depth of learning theory, individualized teaching theory and the situated learning theory.The pattern consists of five stages, the first stage is to determine the teaching objectives,the second stage is to generate teaching content, the third stage is to build teaching activities, the fourth stage is to provide instructional support, the last stage is to design teaching evaluation.Chapter five is to design a case about the designed distance education micro-course design pattern and examine results of the implementation of the case. This chapter mainly test the rationality and validity of distance education micro-course design pattern and provide recommendations for late perfect the pattern.Chapter six is to make a summary about the entire study of this paper to review the research achievements of the study and points out some deficiencies and things needed to be improved in the study, and forecasts the direction of research in the future.
