Since the Yuan Dynasty,the Hui people throughouted the country.In the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty,because of the long war and the government’s planned migration of population,the Hui people distributed more widely.According to the "Ming Shi Lu",there were deeds of Hui people in twelve provinces and Beijing and Tianjin areas except in Jiangxi.Its dispersion manner was diversity.Such As Shaanxi province was the region with the largest number of the Hui people from the Western Regions,Shandong,Zhejiang and some other provinces except Beijing and Tianjin were key areas that Ming Dynasty placed into Hui people from the Western Regions,and in Huguang,Guangdong,and some other provinces,the access of the Hui people because of military requisition.Throughout the Ming Dynasty,Islam was not flourishing than Ming Dynasty,even gradually declined,but in the overall development,the Muslim population was gradually growing,and the construction of mosques was the important representation.From the occupation structure,the Hui people actived in every class in Ming Dynasty:Mainly in agriculture and animal husbandry for a living,the Hui people engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry accounted for an important proportion number;the Hui people held a post in imperial court biased towards military and astronomy.there were a few people who grasped the financial power and the business;there was almost no Muslim businessman could influence the politics by strong economic strength.Overall,the Hui people who entered politics and did business was not a few.but most of them attached to the land for survival."The Hui people were everywhere in Ming Dynasty",the geographical distribution showed a point,line,surface characteristics.They lived around the mosque,then constructed their own villages or became a small settlement in a village,or became a Muslim block in the city.And they lived both sides of the Grand Canal,and the section of Yellow River,Huaihe,which crossed the Yangtze River,and along the Silk Road.Some Hui commities showed the surface characteristic.lt can be said,through the development of the Ming Dynasty,the nationwide distribution of the Hui people was more extensive,the layout of’Big scatter,Small inhabif’was more rigorous and stability.
