Chinese is a basic subject in middle school education, and the reading teaching is the basic part of Chinese subject education. As the basic education curriculum reform is gradually implemented, the interpretation of the text gradually step into the Chinese teaching in middle school. As one of the important parts in middle school Chinese textbook, that is, the novel text, becomes the object of increasing concern and attention. At the moment, the novel text reading strategies have irreplaceable function for improving students’ learning ability of the novel text, teachers’ teaching ability of the novel text interpretation as well as the teaching quality of the novel. However, there are various problems. For example, the novel text interpretation aims mainly to the test, the content of novel text interpretation is superficial and the novel text interpretation process ignored students’ experience etc. There are three reasons for these problems. Less exam about the novel text interpretation in high school causes school to play less attention to it; the teacher lacks attention of it, the consciousness of text explanation is weak; the students lack interest in reading novels and lack methods about interpreting the novel etc. To solve these problems, we can use specific ways of text reading. For example, use the reflection of life, master the background, get the main idea, comb the plots etc. and some other ways such as strategies of students, teachers as well as tests etc.
