“MOE-compiled Chinese textbooks” is short for “Chinese textbooks for compulsory education compiled by Ministry of Education”.With Professor Wen Rumin serving as its chief editor,this set of textbook started to be compiled by experts,scholars and frontline teachers in 2012.The compilation lasts for four years.By March 2019,the six volumes of“MOE-compiled Chinese textbooks” have covered the middle school teaching is most regions in China.However,in the “MOE-compiled Chinese textbooks” for junior middle school,self-reading text is a major feature.Self-reading text plays the important role of bridging reading in and outside the classroom and cultivating students' self-reading ability and is an indispensable part of the present reading teaching at junior middle schools.Therefore,focusing on the research object of self-reading textbooks in “MOE-compiled Chinese textbooks for junior middle school,this thesis firstly sorts out the compilation overview of self-reading texts,analyzes the unique reading-assistance system of self-reading texts,and clarifies the positions and value of self-reading texts.Secondly,under the background of textbook replacement,the thesis probes into the teaching status of self-reading Chinese textbooks in junior middle schools and analyzes the reasons behind such a status.Finally,the author considers the reading condition,the author's internship experience and teaching cases by famous teachers and analyzes teaching strategies for self-reading texts from three perspectives of “mastering self-reading by clinging to the correct path innovatively”,“teaching self-reading flexible by deepening understanding”,and “teaching self-reading well through careful exploration”.It is hoped that this thesis can help frontline teachers gain a clear understanding on the self-reading texts in “MOE-compiled Chinese textbooks” for junior middle school and provide teachers with effective teaching suggestions.
