Education stems from the needs of the development of life. It is a form of living existence of people. School education, as the most effective impact on people’s physical and mental special activities, has the non-human inner link with human lives. Since ancient times, school education has shouldered the responsibilities of developing people’s lives harmoniously, perfecting the lives and improving the value of life qualities. Seeing the school education from the view of life, you will find school education itself has rich life resources. And these make it possible for better implementation of the school education value. The new era of social development needs healthier and more energetic individuals. School education should assume the responsibility of life. And for a long time, our education does not seem related to the context of people’s lives. But the school can take simple as a social preservation, continuation, development, whereby individuals can earn a living and as the tool of "happiness" and "perfect". We can say that the value orientation of schooling if too much emphasis on the instrumental, which is bound to his body gradually from the value of life, and finally had become a tool attached to other areas. This is the educational value of school alienation, causing shadowing school education for life.Life is freedom and the need to get active in the context of the development of individual life consciously. Life is full of harmony. And the need to acquire knowledge and skills are also looking forward to get a positive life experience. Life is continuously improved and created in the process of dealings with others. Schools should strive to make use of their own value, providing a good "soil" for the development of life, in order to realize the transition from instrumentalism to the development of life as the axis value. Based on this, this research goes mainly from the following aspects.The first part is the life of the school as a reasonable interpretation of the value of educational research perspective. View of life and the era of reform from the traditional western philosophy to the new challenges raised by the school to find a meeting point of life and school education. And accordingly analyze the character and educational implications of life.The second part is the meaning of life explained above as the basic premise of school education in contrast consciously perspective of life. And gradually explore the meaning of the meaning and value of school education. It emphasizes that school education itself contains plenty of living resources, which provides the possibility and condition for the realization of the value of school education.The third part inspects the process of the realization of the value of current school education. It discusses the lack of life in that process from some aspects, which include the knowledge-based view implemented by school education, the living situation of students in their school education and the teacher-student relationship. Based on this, it put that the there is a deviation in value orientation in current school education.The fourth part is based on the theoretical support and practical analysis so as to call on the change of the center of the value of school education. It gives suggestions from three aspects of the pursuit of the value of school education to expect schools to wake up people’s lives consciously, to improve people’s life level and to improve people’s way of life. It aims to realize the real transition from school instrumental to the development of life as the axis value.
