After Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, China has stepped into a new stage for economic and social development. Under the new opportunity of development, secondary vocational education that has been seriously hammered gradually gets recovered and developed, with it the opportunities and challenges faced by the development of teachers in secondary vocational schools. On the basis of this situation, our party and government successively passed a series of policy documents and made plans to train teachers in aspects such as ideas, objectives, ways, methods and so on. This thesis will take the evolution of of Policies of Training Teachers for Secondary Vocational Education as a major line, figure out the history of its evolution from the perspectives of policy text and history, and propose the three stages of Policies of Training Teachers for Secondary Vocational Education in more than thirty years:the stage of recovering exploration and stepping into the right path; the stage of systematic planning and unitary promoting; the stage of essential development and deepening and improving.After which, the evolutional features of each stage will be concluded as follows: the feature for the first stage is stabilizing the source of teachers and enlarging the team of teachers; the feature for the second stage is strengthening the abilities of teachers and improving the quality of teachers; the feature for the third stage is cultivating backbone teachers and strengthening practical abilities.The evolution of Policies of Training Teachers for Secondary Vocational Education in more than thirty years has experienced a developing course from being connotative to being innovative, from being univocal to being diversified, from being loose to being systematic, presenting features such as emphasizing the solution of realistic problems and the shift from knowledge-based education to ability-based education. Finally, based on the reflection to the major problems in each stage, this thesis holds that, in the new developmental stage, the Policies of Training Teachers for Secondary Vocational Education should pay more attention to strengthening research consciousness and operability, perfecting assessing standard and supervision mechanism, constructing unified training system and increasing funding, so that the effects of the Policies of Training Teachers for Secondary Vocational Education can be maximized and the development of Secondary Vocational Education will be better promoted.
