Marxism has contained rich thought of people’s livelihood, which plays an important guiding significance on paying attention to improve people’s livelihood. Since the 18 th CPC National Congress, the Party Central Committee and State Council has advocated development policy of giving priority to people’s livelihood. People’s desire for good life is our motivation and target to improve people’s livelihood. The importance of improving people’s livelihood lies in education, while education development is an objective requirement for people’s livelihood. It is a common wish of every family and the society to enable each child to receive education and a well one. It is necessary to promote social development by consistently paying attention to and improving people’s livelihood, so that the fruits of development can benefit all the people more and more fairly. To better satisfy people’s demands, it must strive to develop education and make education better serve for the Socialist Modernization and serve the people. Therefore, in today’s society with comprehensively deepen reforming, in order to accomplish the great renaissance of China dream, we should pay more attention to and improve people’s livelihood, strive for developing education, put it on a strategic height of priority development, further increase investment in education, further improve educational gaps between regions and promote educational equality. Under this background, it appears extremely important and urgent to research Marxism thought of people’s livelihood and China’s educational development path.The paper is divided into six chapters: Chapter One mainly analyzes and discusses Marxism thought of people’s livelihood, research background, significance and research status at home and abroad of China’s educational development path. Meanwhile, it also analyzes and talks about emphases, difficulties and main innovative points of researches. Chapter Two, based on analyzing and discussing background of creation and developing venation for Marxism thought of people’s livelihood, conducts a comparatively deep analysis and discussion on profound connotation of Marxism thought of people’s livelihood. Chapter Three analyzes the guiding significance of Marxism thought of people’s livelihood on China’s educational development path from the aspects of increasing educational opportunities, enhancing vitality of running a school, improving conditions of running a school and promoting educational equality, etc. Chapter Four analyzes internal relations between focusing on and improving people’s livelihood and promoting educational development from three aspects of development goals, development process and development methods. Chapter Five introduced main problems existing in China’s education and conducts a deep analysis on reasons, which cause these problems. Chapter Six conducts a profound analysis and discussion on promoting path selection of China’s educational development positively from aspects of enlarging educational investment, perfecting educational infrastructures in less developed areas, developing rural education rapidly, paying attention to educational of the special crowd, improving employment environment constantly and striving to develop vocational education, etc.The paper, by regarding the Marxism thought of people’s livelihood as the starting point, conducts a profound analysis and discussion on essential problem of people’s survival and development in Marxism thought of people’s livelihood. On this basis, regarding Marxism thought of people’s livelihood as the guidance, aiming at educational development problem in people’s livelihood and combining with China’s educational development status, the paper focuses on analyzing and studying China’s educational development path. Therefore, the research on Marxism thought of people’s livelihood in this paper is not an ordinary analytical investigation, but is a study that closely integrates the research on Marxism thought of people’s livelihood and educational development problem. The study on educational development problem doesn’t merely research from the traditional educational perspective, either, but explore and analyze the education problem from the new perspective of people’s livelihood, which deepens the research on education problem, so as to make it more valuable and meaningful.
