Ancient poetry, including poetry and classical Chinese, is the essence of Chinese traditional culture. Selection of junior high school textbooks in the ancient text, is not only the language knowledge, is the national cultural heritage. Ancient poetry is the source of language development in our country, not only reflects the cultural characteristics of ancient language, the carrier or the mind and spirit. The study of ancient poetry to understand the ancient culture, edify sentiment, enrich people’s spiritual world, and comprehensively improve the quality of language. Now, in the "national" big background, the status of ancient poetry in the textbooks is more important. In this study, teaching, language, Su teaches the version three uses a relatively wide range of materials based on domestic, to the "Chinese curriculum standards of compulsory education(2011 Edition)"(hereinafter referred to as the "new curriculum standard" the guiding ideology of text as the standard, using literature research method, comparative study method and data analysis, selection analysis of ancient prose. First of all, it explains the meaning and function of Chinese textbooks for junior high school ancient poetry; secondly, analysis of the junior middle school language teaching material selection standard of ancient poetry; thirdly, the specific number of texts from three aspects, the contents of text genres and text layout of ancient poetry and prose in the Chinese textbooks of junior high school in the text; by contrast, analysis of the characteristics of each textbook version of ancient texts and put forward some suggestions according to the above content, provide a reference for the preparation of textbooks in the future in the ancient poetry.
