The Study On College Students’ Social Network Optimizing Under The Sight Of Interpersonal Theory

In recent years, the study of social network is an important topic at home andabroad, a lot of theories and practice has proved that every person have a socialnetwork of their own to provide different social capital and social supporting for them.Social network can not only help the person to build good relationships with others,but also can help to improve his or her qualities of thought、life and working and so on.But, throughout of the previous studies, there are little studies about the social networkbuilding theory only for the college students and their interpersonal relationships. Withage increasing, the life pressure of the students is bigger and bigger, to make thestudent meet great challenge in physical and mental qualities. Therefore, this articlemainly analyses the college students’ social network based on the interpersonal theory,and at the same time propose measures about how to build college students’ goodsocial network.This article use related theories and methods of home and abroad to study socialnetwork, is combined with inherent characteristics and actual situation of the collegestudents to study interpersonal skills, and use multi-stage sampling questionnairemethod based on378students of four different grades and different majors fromXi’an University of Architecture and Technology to study comprehensively. UsingSpss11.5, Excel6.0, Logistics and other software to quantitatively and comparativelyanalyze the social network of students who is in different gender and majors fromdifferent dimensions. And this article is based on the interpersonal theory to analysesdeeper about the problems of the students’ social network and propose measures. According to the data analysis of the questionnaire, I have some conclusions below:(1)college students have different understandings and using methods on the socialnetwork of themselves;(2) the components of social network of the college studentsare single, such as kinship circle, classmates, roommates and so on;(3) socialnetwork of the college students has strong homogeneity, especially the sex and thehometown, but the homogeneity of the area is low;(4) the tightness of socialnetwork of the college students is high;(5) the member of college students socialnetwork is about10people in general, the size is relatively small.Social network is an important part of college life, but there is a big difference insocial network relations between different students because the different cognitiveabilities and the comprehensive quality of the students, which makes the analysis of thesocial network of college students is possibility in theoretical and practical aspect.Therefore, based on the positive role on the social network from interpersonal theories,this article analyze the social network of the student from four aspects that is studentsthemselves, their families, colleges and society, find out the factors that is restrictingthe social network, and make relevant feasible suggestions and measures. The buildingof the good social network based on the good interpersonal relationship, can make thestudents have a have better understanding about heir own social networks, in order tomaintain and expand their social networks better and better.
