Research On Reading Of "Border Town" By Shen Congwen

This thesis is on the basis of Syllabus as a guidance. As for the need of teaching, the relevant research data about Border Town is collected from the Internet, which is trying to do some research reading of it. This thesis includes a brief introduction of the well-known author named Shen Congwen,the overviews and remarks of his charm work Border Town, my explanations and understandings about the three themes which are Pastoral Elegy Say, Tragedy Eelegy Say and Cultural Criticism Say, the image research of the main characters such as Cuicui, Lao Chuanfu, Tianbao, Nuosong, Shunshun and so on, as well as the research on the ferry, mill, music, water, saxifrage, border town, Baita, the yellow dog, fish and other major images. The last chapter of Border Town,with the starting point of practical teaching, provides the methods and points of the guidance reading:the back language method,the comparative reading learning method, the aesthetic appreciation learning method, the reduction method of reading and the writing inspiration method. This thesis is aimed at providing a certain preference on Border Town for the Chinese teachers, helping them complete the important teaching task that the text carries to, and letting students learn thoughts, feelings and artistic nutrition from the excellent novel. Therefore, the students can enrich and deepen the understanding of history, society and life, improving the cultivation of literature,and making the classic work no longer lonely inside and outside the classroom.
