Thus, the papertakes Li Decai sorcerer as example, who lives in Fanchang Village, Lizhou YaoTown, Tianlin County, Guangxi Region. The author studies his personal life withthe method of anthropological observation, depth interviews and literaturecollection. The paper probes into his life history from his birth, adult ceremony,apprenticeship, mastership and recruiting disciples. The paper carries a gradualresearch on the Yao sorcerers’ religious belief system through the analysis of hisworldly life, spiritual life, identity and belief.
