There’s a long history in China’s education. For a long time, a majority of scholarshave been keening on research confucius educational ideology, but they didn’t give thesame attention to the Taoism educational ideology. In fact, the hidden Taoismeducational ideology also plays a very important role in the China educational historythat can not be ignored. Especially the two representatives are Laozi and Zhuangzi.They explained the characteristic charm of Taoism educational ideology by theirwisdom in a special way. Then I will regard this as the breakthrough point, To analyzethe main content of Taoism educational ideology. And put forward some beneficialenlightenment for the development of teaching in today’s universities.The paper includes four parts:The first part is Introduction. It mainly elaborates the reason of choosing this topic;the research methods; the research status; the purpose of the research; thesummarization of the research content; the place of innovation and the significance ofthe research, etc. Explain the creative characteristics and innovation of this paper.The second part is the Introduction of Laozi and Zhuangzi and the philosophicalfoundation of Taoism educational ideology. This part is divided into two basic contents:first, I introduce Laozi and Zhuangzi, it is good for us to understand their thoughts;second, I explain the philosophical foundation of Taoism educational ideology--TheTaoism philosophy. The main contents include: Method of nature; The quiet state ofspiritual pursuit; Governing without interfering the natural rules; harmony between manand nature.The third part is the mainly content of Taoism educational ideology. It is also themost important part of this paper. it includes four parts: the aim of teaching-to bring upthe people who has the Taoism thoughts; Teaching content that include Moral education,Intellectual education, Physical education; the teaching process that include “guan”,“ming”,“xuanlan”,“xing”. On this basis, put forward four teaching principles:“Governing without interfering the natural rules and Self absorption” principle;“Proceeding in an orderly way and step by step” principle;“Pay attention to theopposite part” principle;“Pure and selfless” principle. All of these show thetranscendental freedom of Taoism educational ideology.The fourth part is the enlightenment in universities’ teaching from Taoism educationalideology. Combining with the existing problems in the universities’ teaching, It can include three parts: Teaching should pursue the nature of students; Teaching shouldabandon the temptations of fame; Teaching should guide the students to do good deeds.Taoism educational ideology is very broad and profound, it advocating natural. It is theeducation can develop the nature of students truly. I hope, this paper can bring someinspiration and help for our college teaching reform.
