The Study On The Competency Model’s Construction And Verification Of Head Teachers In Junior High School

This research takes junior high school teacher for subjects, interviewed28junior highschool teacher by using behavioral event interview, sent89copies of open questionnaire. Onthis basis,collected competency items, and analyzed the competency of outstanding juniorhigh school teachers in charge. The research accomplished the junior high school headteachers’competency (predicted).Then surveyed on225subjects using predictionquestionnaire, and performed exploratory factor analysis, obtains the junior middle schoolteacher competency model and the "junior high school teacher competency Self-EvaluationQuestionnaire features"(official version). Based on confirmatory factor analysis of386formal questionnaires, finished the verification of junior high school teacher competencymodel, and tested the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, thus analysised the featuresof the formal questionnaire.The conclusions are as follows:(1) The competency model of head teacher in junior high school is multi-dimensional,itcludes6factors: organization and management ability,teaching ability, communication ability,interpersonal personality traits, self controlling ability and achievement oriented.(2)The self-assessment questionnaire based on the competency model of the juniormiddle school teacher has good reliability and validity. The topic of research has a gooddiscrimination. And this questionaire are able to test the competency model of junior highschool teacher.(3) Comparison analysis with results of junior high school teacher on demographic ondemographic characters,we find that different gender,educational level,teaching experienceand job title have signification impact to junior middle school teacher.
