Today, the Internet has penetrated into all areas of life, greatly changing people’s original production activities and ways of thinking, and playing an important role in people’s learning, working and life. However, the drawbacks of the Internet is growing. As the result of uncontrolled using of the Internet, Some user’s physical and mental health is badly damaged, and it has caused great concern to the society. In recent years, the survey shows that college students is not only one of the main users of the Internet, but also high-risk group of the Internet addiction, and the cases of excessive Internet use leading to academic failure and family disputes have increased. Therefore, the study proceeds from the Internet addiction factors, adopting questionnaire survey of919college students, and constructing the multiple mediating effects model of perceived social support, cognitive emotion regulation in life events affecting Internet addiction tendency, and proposing targeted recommendations for the management of college students on the basis, in order to provide reference for the prevention and reduction of college students’ Internet addiction. The result shows that:(1) The level of college students’ Internet addiction tendency is not high, but there are significant differences on the online time and activities between the high and low Internet addiction tendency.(2) There are significant differences of college students’Internet addiction tendency in gender, grade and major.(3) There are significant differences in life events, perceived social support and cognitive emotion regulation between the high and low college students’Internet addiction tendency.(4) Internet addiction tendency shows significantly positive correlation with life events and non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation, but significantly negative correlation with perceived social support.(5) Perceived social support and non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation have multiple mediating effects between life events and Internet addiction tendency.On the basis of empirical research, the study puts forward the following suggestions:strengthening adapt education to improve college students’ psychological adaptation ability; carrying out Internet educational practice to guide students correctly use the Internet; improving mental health education system to improve the mental health of college students; establishing linkage mechanism to enhance perceived social support of college students; conduct stress management to reduce the use of non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies.
