High school stage is the key period of life development,is an important turning point.High school students’ learning pressure,interpersonal relationship and adaptation problems will affect their learning state and mental health.This study uses quantitative research methods,with the aid of adolescent life events scale,cognitive emotion regulation scale(CERQ-C),Chinese high school student mental health scale for some county in Henan province,the questionnaire survey to 520 high school students in senior high school to explore senior high school students life events,cognitive emotion regulation and the basic characteristics of the mental health and relationship,and cognitive emotion regulation in the high school students play a role of intermediary between life events and mental health,in order to promote the overall level of the high school students mental health to develop effective strategies.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)In general,there are fewer negative life events experienced by senior high school students,and learning pressure,interpersonal relationship and adaptation problems are the main sources of stress for senior high school students.(2)The mental health status of high school students is in a good level on the whole,and there are mild mental health problems.However,the mental health level of individuals varies greatly,so attention should be paid to the individual differences in mental health guidance and intervention.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between life events and cognitive emotional regulation in high school students.After experiencing negative life events,high school students would use more cognitive emotional regulation strategies.There is a significant positive correlation between high school life events and mental health.The more stressful life events experienced by high school students,the more mental health problems and the more serious mental health status appeared.(4)Cognitive emotion regulation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between high school life events and mental health.
