Reading is an important part of teaching middle school language teaching is that students acquire reading skills, develop good reading habits of language practice. Its main task is to enable students to proficiency in the language and the use of the motherland, students have some listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities. As China’s market economy development and the advancement of education, our high school language teaching of reading has been widespread concern in the community in the process of the new curriculum, both in theoretical or practical level, have emerged in the results of a large number of promising exploration. High school language teaching of reading as an important part of the New Curriculum reform, how practical ways to implement the objectives of the reform, improve the overall effectiveness of classroom teaching, it is particularly important. But to have a deep understanding, although at this stage in the launching of the new subject teaching high school language reading has made some achievements, but still there is a big objectively inadequate, so in our current high school language teaching practice, it is necessary to improve students’reading ability into the overall teaching objectives to provide the necessary support and help to enhance the overall quality of students’level.In this study, the status of high school language teaching of reading Siping experimental investigation and analysis, to understand the current situation and the actual problems of high school language teaching of reading under the new subject, analyze the cause of the problem is formed to explore the methods and propose solutions through.This thesis has five chapters. The first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of the research, current research, research methods. Second chapter of the detailed interpretation of the new curriculum standards for teachers of students should achieve the target requirements and practices.
