The Current Situations Of Gymnastics Teaching Under The New Curricula In Junior High Schools In Siping And The Research On Its Strategies

With the overall development of the modern basic educational reform, the physical basic education reform also has gone into a new stage. The new curricula standard which the educational department drafted in 2001 has been put into test in part of the provinces and cities of the country. In the new curricular standard systerm, the gymnastic courses that has been determined as the required course in the middle school physical education and arranged in different stages of sports skill studying field, which is a confirmation to the value of gymnastics, takes treat proportion according to its value which it makes to junior middle school student's special exercises. However, because of many reasons, gymnastic courses doesn't go ahead ideally in different levels in middle schools, as well as the shrinking trand appears in most middle schools. Its prospect is being worried, which influences not only the popularization and implementation of the new curricula, but also the qualities of physical education in middle schools and the situations of students seriously. It is a problem which is faced and to be solved physical teachers urgently that analyzing all kinds of influence element of urban schools and finding out feasible settlement on the basis of this case.On this account, gymnastic teaching has been investigated and analyzed in junior schools in Siping. The objects of the study are the 48physical teachers in 10 junior middle school in Siping. Methods of finding documents, interviewing experts, investigating questionnaire, analyzing logically and counting statistics are used in the thesis. The results of the study indicate following points.1. The physical funds are insufficient .Athletic equipments have a high rate of attaining the criterion in most schools, but they are poorly equipped on the grounds. The light apparatus have a high ratio of attaining the standard, but a low one of being ratio of attaining the standard, but a low one of being used exsists. Also, the quantity o gymnastic special apparatus are wanted. The above-mentioned conditions need to be perfected step by step.2. The qualification rate of physical teachers'records of schooling in the juror middle schools in Siping has reached to 100%.The quantity of teachers in junior middle schools in Siping is adequate, but the proportion between men and women teachers and professional structure are not reasonable, and professional gymnastic teachers are needed, which affect the normal development of gymnastic teaching.3. The training of the junior middle school physical teacher after their post and the continuous education is deeply affected by the compensation of the record of schooling. The content of training does not go with the training people's real demand, so it is difficult to meet the new teaching reform, and needs to be further improved. 4. The physical teachers in Siping's junior middle school do not knew the new teaching reform so well, and needs to be further popularized and totally trained.5.siping city junior high schools living the gymnastics study aggressive not high, the teacher teaches of the gymnastics contents lacks seriously, needing a school to strengthen direct and management, promising the gymnastics teaching opens an exhibition smoothly.6.Most of the junior middle school's teaching proposed in Siping was not formulated also reasonable, the factors that it considered were not enough, The gymnastic action skill teaching's content is not so much, the action was not deeply improved and explored, many actions that are of high training value do not get taught. The gymnastic teaching's actual carrying out time is a bit less in general. This situation needs to be changed immediately.
