Vocational College Financial Internal Control Problems Research

With China’s rapid economic development and the deepening of education reform, thestate’s financial investment in vocational colleges is increasing. Vocational financialmanagement system has undergone profound changes, the growing role of the internalmanagement of vocational colleges becomes more and more important, and guaranteessustainable development of vocational colleges. Currently, some of the drawbacks ofinternal control exist in vocational colleges, such as budgeting unscientific,non-standardized expenditure management, lack oversight of procurement activities, poorrisk awareness, debt burden, the concept behind the outdated management practices andother issues, seriously restrict the further development of the school.Research on financial internal control of vocational colleges is rare. Whilevocational education institutions and general administrative institutions, universities,primary and secondary general internal financial situation is different because of thespecial nature of the objects and aims of education and needs specialized research toprovide a reference for reform. From the perspective of internal controls we found thereare three major issues of the financial internal control of S vocational colleges. The firstone is that the financial system is imperfect and the second is that internal controlenvironment is not ideal and the third is that risk management is not perfect. Based on fourrisk points of enrollment, student financial assistance, school loans and purchase of schoolthis paper has put forward a number of possible suggestions to improve and perfect thesystem of internal financial control and enables S school to strengthen internal control offinancial management in order to promote vocational colleges healthy and fastdevelopment.
