The late Qing dynasty is a multicultural period when domesticmathematics textbooks developed. Current mathematics textbooks weremainly translated or compiled from foreign mathematics textbooks.Wentworth mathematics textbooks had achieved a dominant position inthe markets of American mathematics textbooks. Later on, it wasintroduced to China from Japan, making a great influence on China.The text is expounded from four aspects. Specific contents are asfollows:Chapter1Introduction This part expounds on the origin, purposeand significance of the study as well as study situation at home andabroad, study skills, study innovation, etc.Chapter2The Relevant Overview on Wentworth MathematicsTextbooks In this chapter, there are some contents introduced respectively,including the lifetime of Wentworth, the profile of Wentworthmathematics textbooks, Wentworth mathematics textbooks in China,Wentworth mathematical educational thoughts and so on.
