The primary stage is the initial stage of nine-year compulsoryeducation. Mathematics as a basic discipline, is an extremely importantrole in the society and life, promotes the development of society andtechnology. The geometry teaching is an important part of themathematics teaching, students learn geometry can contribute to theunderstanding of the number.Teachers play a leading role in teaching, soas a mathematics teacher, how to teach the elementary geometry well is asubject that worthy of thorough study and explore. This study is basedon the historical and practical aspects to study elementary geometricteaching. This paper is divided into five chapters in total.Part One is the exordium. It tells us the main purpose of this studyand describes the significance of current research, the research methodsand the innovations. It Introduces the main contents of this paper: theperspective of history and reality are the primary research point onteaching geometry.Part Two is about the geometry of “Outline”/“Curriculumstandards”and the textbook’s evolution since1978.We can get someenlightenment form the evolution. Part Three is the plane geometry teaching. The plane geometry isdivided by five parts: the basic concepts of geometry, the understandingof graphics, the change of graphics, position, the perimeter and the areaof graphical.Analyze the five parts and give several teaching suggestions.Part Four is the three-dimensional geometry teaching. Throughanalyze the emphasis and difficult points to give the three-dimensionalgeometry teaching suggestions.Part Five is the conclusion. Through the study of elementarygeometry teaching, there are three conclusions:First, teachers should improve their level of knowledge not onlyimprove the professional knowledge, but also understand the relevanthistorical data.Second, teachers should pay attention to the relation of relatedgeometry knowledge. The content of courses is not rigidly adhere to thetextbook.Third, teachers should consider of the development of students’spsychological status and select the appropriate teaching aids and designeducational programs in the process of geometry teaching.
