| This study took10Vocational Colleges in Suzhou city as the research sample, usingthe method of literature, statistical data analysis, interviews and other research methods tocarry on the discussion and Analysis on the basic situation of physical education in SuzhouCity Vocational Colleges and aim at the main problems existing to put forward thecorresponding development countermeasure.The main problems existing in Physical Education in Suzhou City Vocational Collegeshown as following: school sports culture atmosphere and idea of physical education isweak; funding is restricted within certain sources and hardware construction is laggingbehind; teachers’ professional level needs improving; teaching method is old and learningevaluation needs perfecting; extracurricular sports activities cease to exist except in name;vocational sports theory and practical research need developing. Countermeasure putforward as following after careful analysis on the problems: to promote students’ healthyidea and cultivate students’ regular exercise behavior; to raise sports funds and improvesports facilities, equipment and system construction; to strengthen the construction ofteachers’ team to improve their comprehensive quality level; to optimize sports teachingmethod and improve learning evaluation methods; to strengthen the extra-curricular sportsactivities and extend the course of physical education; to enhance physical educationresearch in higher vocational colleges and explore practical sports courses; to establish andimprove teaching quality monitoring and security system, physical education curriculumevaluation mechanism.Suggestions on the development of physical education in Suzhou higher vocationalcolleges are made during the research under the background of the construction of NationalDemonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges, which provides the reference to the sustainabledevelopment of Suzhou City Vocational College of physical education, hoping to provide some theoretical basis for the majority of school physical education workers and schoolphysical education curriculum reform. |
