The new poetry, which has a long history about hundred years from appearing, gradually developed into the mainstream of Chinese modern and contemporary poetry creation form.The expression of the new poetry is very freedom and full of diversity, the form of it is also very novel and chic. Besides, the new poetry has unique characteristics of modern society and the humanities spirit given by the era in content and thought.Learning the new poetry plays a good role in promoting the accumulation of language, the cultivation of language sense, the development of thinking, and the development of aesthetic temperament and moral cultivation.Behind the superficial prosperity, however, the new poetry teaching still exist many problems in the practical teaching. Due to these problems, the effectiveness and efficiency of the new poetry teaching has been badly plagued, therefore, this article will analyze the present situation from the perspective of teachers, students and teaching, and put forward the corresponding requirements and guidance of new methods and suggestions.Along with the in-depth development of the new curriculum reform, the new poetry has successfully attracted the attention of the textbook writers and the Chinese teachers, and as a result, the new poetry teaching has obtained certain achievement by the related research and teaching exchange mode.
