At present, our country is in the reform period of all-round, production relations and superstructure are undergoing tremendous changes, this change provides opportunities not only to the healthy growth of college students, but also puts forward the new challenge to the thought political education work of University counselors. As a qualified college ideological and political education workers, we need to explore methods and measures to update the concept, more effective to deal with new problems, new situations. The case study of social work into the College Counselors’ Ideological and political education work, the current complex thought political education work of university counselors, is a very meaningful attempt, at the same time, which is also the gist of this paper.This paper mainly to the basic principle of the Marx doctrine, social work, ideological and political education, sociology and other disciplines theory as the foundation, carries on the preliminary discussion on the "use" of social work in the college counselors in Ideological and political education. The full text is divided into four parts:the first part, the relevant theoretical knowledge of social work, provide the theoretical foundation for the following research; the second part, discusses the necessity and possibility of case work in college counselors in Ideological and political education. This paper thinks the use of social work in the college counselors in Ideological and political education is the thought political education work of University Counselors environmental challenges, work needs innovation of concept and role conversion of counselor education needs; that the similarity case work and thought political education work of University Counselors object, target and function, complementary work methods, as well as the social work education and practice in the development of China is its use provides great possibility; the third part, case interviews as the main investigation, survey of existing in the ideological and political education of undergraduate, part of Guangxi area representative vocational counselors problems, and application of case social work. The survey found, college students are still positive generation, but there are also some problems, such as the concept of continuous self value, utilitarian, part political outlook, outlook on life and fuzzy vulgarization, individual "problem" complex, the behavior deviation with psychological problems, variety; in the use of methods of work, found some of the counselors there was dominant, the students ignored the dominant position and other phenomena, and more like "control" type education; found part of Ideological and political education work new ideas and methods for the development of the theory, strong, but the lack of feasible standard, specific operation is not strong; also found that a considerable number of people think some ideas case the social work and the specific working methods, working mode of scientific, reasonable design, especially the practice of operational, practical work for the counselors; the fourth part, the empirical research based on the specific case, use of social work. That reference case social work "to help people to help themselves" and "welfare" concept, to contribute to the "people-oriented" concept of Ideological and political education, help to improve the host guest interaction between teachers and students, to strengthen the students’ subject status, the main student subjective volunteered to be the work of ideological and political education. Secondly, that the reference case social work core service program, provides a clear path and operational procedures for the work of counselors, help to improve the operational effectiveness of counselors work; the reference case work crisis intervention model, contribute to a counselor to help students in the shortest time (in grave crisis) to get rid of the puzzle, return to a normal state, to adapt to life; from the rational emotive therapy (ABC theory), help counselors to help students cognitive restructuring, correct the unreasonable belief, reduce students’ negative emotions and even trigger happy, positive emotions, so as to promote the students to solve problems.
