Life education is a social activity that is people-centered, awakens lifeconsciousness and builds the meaning of life. It has a great significance for collegestudents who are in the period of social transformation. At present, our country is inthe crucial stage of reform and opening up. With economic globalization, culturaldiversity, rapid development of social informatization, fierce social competition andincreasing employment pressure, college students manifest widespread "utilitarian"tendency. They pay less attention to the ultimacy problems such as life, life and death,not really understand the survival and the meaning of life so that they are easy toproduce inferiority, apathy, anxiety and other psychological problems. Someone evenappeared some extreme behaviors such as campus suicide or hurt others. Therefore,attaching great importance of college students’ life education seems particularlyurgent.Therefore, based on the background of the social transformation in China, thispaper made the college students as the research object and college students’ lifedevelopment as the clue. Then on the basis of exploring relevant theories about lifedevelopment, this paper analyzed our country’s current social transformation haseffects on college students’ life development, expounded necessities of collegestudents’ life education during the transformation of China society, analyzed basiccontents of college students’ life education, put forward life education goals thatshould be cherishing life, creating life value, improving the quality of life. In addition,it should follow the basic principles of college students life education that complieswith the combination of development and life, the combination of science andhumanism, the combination of cognition and practice, the combination of integrityand pertinence. In addition, the article has carried on the real track on the presentsituation of college students’ life development in form of questionnaire, which couldhave a detailed understanding about the existing problems of college students’ lifedevelopment. Basing on the analysis of the status, we have a reason investigationfrom4aspects: the society, family, school and the college students themselves, to gaindeep cognition of contemporary college students’ life development. Finally, this article has deeply explored countermeasures to solve problems ofcollege students’ life development from four aspects: life education concept,education content, education method, education environment.
