With the coming of information age, knowledge update speed, students just relyon the knowledge learned in class is far cannot satisfy the needs of futuredevelopment. Individuals need to constantly enrich their knowledge, learning afterclass should throughout one’s life, eventually to achieve lifelong learning. Thisrequires students to learn how to learn, so should improve the ability ofself—managed learning has become the hot topic in higher education. Analyse theexisting research, we found the domestic research on self—managed learning mainlyfocused on the theoretical discussion, empirical research is less. On the researchobject is mainly primary and secondary school students, less attention to collegestudents’ self—managed learning research. Through investigation and study about thepresent situation of college students’ self—managed learning, to explore the collegestudents in self—managed learning problems, find out the correspondingcountermeasure, to promote college students’ self—managed learning ability, realizingthe social demand for talents.This paper makes an investivagation of self—managed learning research on457university students from M university. The methond used in this paper includedocumentation method, investivagation method and some other method. Byinvestigating the following conclusions:First, M university students overall level of self—managed learning on the highlevel, but in the method, evaluation summary score lower dimensions, a study plan inall the lowest score on the secondary indicators. This shows that our students inlearning methods, evaluation, planning, etc, there is still a large room to improve.Second, different grade there exists significant difference between the level ofcollege students’self—managed learning. A grade of the highest level ofself—managed learning, self—managed learning of fourth grade was obviouslyhigher than that of grade two and three; Second grade higher than grade three; Thelowest levels of self—managed learning of grade three.Third, on the gender, girls average of self—managed learning than boys andthere are significant differences. This shows that our school girls’ level ofself—managed learning is significantly higher than boys.Fourth, the student cadre group in self—managed learning on average than the student cadre group, and there is no significant difference. But the student cadre groupand the student cadre group exists in the planning and learning evaluation indexdifference and student cadre group level is higher than that of the student cadre grouplevel.Based on the above conclusion, put forward the following countermeasures toimprove college students’ self—managed learning level:First, the students are in the process of learning through understand why weshould learn, what and how to learn, learn to develop their ability of self—managedlearning.Second, teachers should establish new teaching view, teachers and students view,reform teaching methods, according to their aptitude, and guide students toindependent study.Third, schools should set up the management and service consciousness, toimprove infrastructure construction, system construction, professional and curriculum,etc, to improve the students’ learning environment.Fourth, the society need to work together, create a good social atmosphere.
