Research On Employment Of College Graduates And Countermeasures Of Henan Province

From the end of last century and the turn of this century, as popularization of higher educationquickens continuously and the number of colleges increases rapidly, there are more and more collegegraduates pouring into the society. College graduates’ problem of employment gets the attention of thewhole society increasingly. From an economic point of view, The employment of university graduates notonly concerns the vital interests of the graduates and their families, but also relates to the whole nation inthe field of higher education“input and output ratio”of profit and loss.; from a social perspective, it is notonly related to the sustainable development of higher education enterprise, but also related to theimplementation of strategies of strengthening the country through talents and developing the countrythrough science and education. It is also related to the stability of the society and the rejuvenation of China.Since the eighteenth congress, along with the reform and opening up into “the deepwater area”, Socialdevelopment mode and the macro economic structure adjustment faces a crucial stage. So theemployment of college graduates appeals a higher attention of the party, the government and social sessions.Henan, as a populous province and a building human resources province, the problem of employment ofcollege graduates should be placed in a prominent position in the research. Based on a comprehensiveanalysis of the current situation of Henan college graduates’ employment and domestic and internationaltheory and research findings, the paper finds the main factors affecting the employment of collegegraduates, analyzes the causes of existing problems and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures tosolve these problems.The paper summarizes the situation of the employment of college graduates in Henan at first,then analysis it in detail from six aspects: the quality of college graduate in Henan Province, theemployment situation, characteristics of graduates’ employment, social evaluation and trainingimprovement of the graduate, the graduates’ basic work abilities and core knowledge, the graduates’ jobhunting. Then it indicates main problems of the employment of college graduates: the strikingcontradictions between supply and demand in the labor market and structural contradiction; theexacerbating irrational concept of employment and labor market regulation of negative effects; the increasing pressures of social overall employment; the imperfect building of job market for graduates; lackof scientificity and effectiveness in government employment policy and system; the low effectiveness ofthe implementation of employment policies; the imperfect supporting policies of employment of collegegraduates; the declining personnel training quality caused by rapid development of Henan university; theshortage of the current Higher Education and training System; the low levels of employment guidance andservices; the graduates’ idea toward employments; family factors; college graduates lack of systematiccareer planning and employment lifting capacity and so on.Then it states problems in the employment of college graduates from the following five aspects:social-economic environment, government functions, universities, employers and graduates. Aiming atthese problems, the paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures: improving the employment ofcollege graduates in the socio-economic and market environment effectively; giving full play to the guidingrole of the employment market for college students; government’ important role in macroeconomicregulation and control of college graduates employment; colleges’ leading role in employment; employers’improvement of human resource management; graduates’ correct concept of employment and trainingstronger employability and so on.
