This paper, aims to culture the students scientific accomplishment and promotes students’all-round development by designing and studying the contents, forms and evaluation of senior chemistryassignment.The new curriculum chemistry assignment is one of the important components of classroomteaching. It is also the way for students to consolidate, to use, to practice the knowledge they have learnedin daily life. The new curriculum implementation requires that educators should shake off the concept ofexam-oriented education,keep in pace with modern education and design the new chemistry assignment.Operating as a bridge between teaching and learning, chemistry assignment is the way forteachers to supervise and check the teaching effectiveness, which is also the effective method for studentsto expand thinking, develop ability and cultivate emotion.It is an effective way to reduce the burden onstudents, make a contribution to put the new curriculum three-dimensional goals which include knowledgeand skill, course and method, emotion attitude and values into effect.This paper is composed of five sections.The first section of the article includes the first, secondand third chapters, which discuss the background, significance and theory, point out the problem thatexisting in the new curriculum assignment of senior chemistry. This part analyses present chemistryassignments in our province by literature study, questionnaire survey and content analysis to analysis.The second section includes the forth and fifth chapters, mainly on the advantages anddisadvantages of domestic and foreign homework.The third section describes how to conduct chemistry assignments, which includes the breadthand depth of the homework, difficulties of the homework, styles of the homework, method of finishinghomework, methods of evaluating homework.The forth section describes diverse ways of evaluation on chemistry assignments.The fifth section is the analysis of the practice in senior school and effectiveness of operations bydepending on students’ life experience and cognition and mental standards. This part aims to upgradestudents’ interest in study, settle problems with given knowledge in daily life and elevate scientific literacy.
