ObjectiveThe study aims to survey clinical teachers’ competence status of undergraduatenursing students based on self-made questionnaire, which will be used to investigateand evaluate clinical teachers’ competence. It will provide a reference for hospitals toselect the clinical teachers of undergraduate nursing students, and put forwardspecific proposals to improve the clinical teachers’ overall competence levels.MethodIn the study, the methods of brain-storming and literature analysis are used toprepare for the clinical teachers’ competence status questionnaire of undergraduatenursing students. Typical sampling and convenience sampling are used to extractfrom10tertiary public hospitals in Henan Province. It takes a random sampling of260clinical teachers and140undergraduate nursing students to conduct aquestionnaire survey. The software of EpiData3.0and SPSS21.0are used for astatistical analysis of the recovery data after the examination.Result1Reliability and validity of the questionnaireThe overall Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient is0.972; KMO test coefficient is0.903, the α value of Bartlett test of sphericity is2618.942(df is496), P value is0.000(P <0.05).The factor analysis shows that the main factor to explain thecumulative amount of73.393%of the total variance, factor loadings are all greaterthan0.60.2The basic situation of surveyThere are400questionnaires distributed, while393questionnaires returned and7questionnaires are excluded for incomplete fill. So there are386validquestionnaires, and the effective rate is96.5%in the study. Self-assessmentquestionnaire are all female with an average age of30years old, whose first degreeas a technical secondary school accounting for32%, as a college school accounting for48%, and as an undergraduate accounting for20%; whose highest degree as acollege school accounting for21%, as an undergraduate accounting for75%, and asa master’s graduate accounting for4%; whose titles as nurse accounting for61%, ascharge nurse accounting for29%, as subtropical high and high titles accounting for10%; whose working age between3to5years accounting for27%, working agebetween6to10years accounting for53%, working age between11to15yearsaccounting for14%, working age more than16years accounting for6%; who asclinical teachers of undergraduate nursing students for less than3years accountingfor48%,for4-6years accounting for45%,for more than7years accounting for7%.His-assessment questionnaire survey is also female with an average age of22yearsold, whose practice time is between6-7months.3The scores of self-assessment and his-assessment questionnaireThe dimension of expertise ability scores(x±s)4.06±0.733, the dimension ofteaching ability scores4.25±0.724, and the dimension of professionalism scores4.43±0.686in self-assessment survey. The dimension of expertise ability scores(x±s)4.28±0.783,, the dimension of teaching ability scores4.36±0.757, andthe dimension of professionalism scores4.46±0.698in his-assessment survey.4Clinical teachers’ competence with different basic informationThe method of Levene is used for a test of variance homogeneity, and thescores of clinical teachers’ competence with different first degree, different lastdegree, different working ages and different years of teaching undergraduatenursing students are all on homogeneous, which can be for an analysis of variance. The scores of clinical teachers’ competence with different tittles are not onhomogeneous, which can be for an analysis of Brown-Forsythe. The efforts ofclinical teachers’ competence with different first degree, different last degree, different working ages and different years of teaching undergraduate nursingstudents respectively are F=3.810, P=0.026(P<0.05), F=0.198, P=0.821(P>0.05), F=29.272,P=0.00(P<0.05)and F=39.900,P=0.00(P<0.05; Thestatistic analysis of Brown-Forsythe of clinical teachers’ competence with differenttittles is12.529,P=0.000(P<0.05). Conclusion1The questionnaire of clinical teachers’ competence evaluation status ofundergraduate nursing students has better consistency reliability and constructsvalidity. the clinical teachers’ competence of is at a high overall level,2The survey results show that the evaluation of undergraduate nursingstudents’ assessment is generally higher than that of clinical teachers’self-assessment. The overall level of clinical teachers’ competence is positivelycorrelated with their titles, working ages and years of teaching undergraduatenursing students, and there is no significant correlation with their last degree.3So selected conditions of clinical teachers should be regulated, individualizedmeasure will be taken according to different situations, and appropriate trainingmeasures should be developed to improve the overall competence levels of clinicalteaching teachers by hospitals’ managers.
