Under the influence of the international economic and information integration,English as a world language, the role of the information carrier is more and moreprominent. In our country, the high school English education as an important position,plays a very important role in the English education. In the high school stage, in the fourskills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, English reading and writing occupies avery important position, the two are not independent of each other, but influence eachother, are closely linked. In the process of English teaching, the teacher should takeappropriate teaching methods, read to write, read and write, pay attention to input andoutput to improve the quality of English writing. This paper is under the background ofcurriculum reform, take the domestic and foreign relationship between English readingand writing theory as the theoretical basis, and describe the writing based on the Englishreading.In this paper, on the basis of theoretical research, trying to find and to cultivate aneffective approach which is driven by reading input to improve the competence ofwriting.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction, briefly introduced the research background,significance, methods and the framework of the paper.The second chapter is literature review, this thesis introduces the relationshipbetween reading and writing, English reading-input method to improve the level ofwriting-the quality of the output and the related research results, which manyresearchers through their own research and practice has proved reading and writing areinseparable, supplement each other.Fellow researchers laid a solid foundation for the research of this paper.The third chapter mainly introduces theoretical basis of the research on Englishwriting teaching in senior high school based on English reading.The fourth chapter is mainly the writing ability study of the high school Englishwriting teaching which carried out the definition and classification of writing ability.Based on cognitive psychology perspective of dimensions of the concept of writingability, it can be divided into declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge andstrategic knowledge. Literature research and interview results showed that studentsare lacking of the declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge and strategic knowledge in the writing, thus this paper focuses on the students’ knowledge system(declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge and strategic knowledge) construction,to improve the students’ English writing ability. It mainly consist of the followingseveral aspects: first, rich student’s declarative knowledge; second, grasp the basicwriting skills, to speed up the transformation of the declarative knowledge to proceduralknowledge; Third, through training, guide the students to pay attention to the writingstrategy of knowledge learning and mastering.The fifth chapter is the review and prospect of research.This study also has some limitations. As a result of the limitation of subjective andobjective reasons can not provide the corresponding practical examples and cases,hopein the future teaching, the author will continue to strengthen the theoretical study andresearch, and strive to improve my own teaching level, combining theory with practice,make the research be perfected.
