With the further development of economic globalization, English has not only become a tool forcommunication between nations, but also bridges in political, economic and cultural. After entering the21stcentury, each government has put the opening Primary English education as of one of the strategicobjectives of its culture in the new century talents. However, most of our primary school English teachingis still using the traditional teaching model, resulting in students’ interest is not high, underachieving.Therefore, this study mainly focus on primary school English teaching game design strategy to carry outresearch in order by exploring viable game design strategies to carry out teaching game design and gameapplications to primary school English teaching, to stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning, improveteaching effectiveness.Firstly, the use of research methods literature research status at home and abroad teaching English inprimary schools of the game, and the status of the application at home and abroad RETAIN model of thesort and analysis; Secondly, the characteristics of primary school English teaching objectives and RETAINmodel, given the model based on RETAIN the primary school English teaching game design strategies,including relevance, embeddedness, mobility, adaptability, naturalization and teaching, etc.; Finally, inorder to verify the effectiveness of the strategy has been the development of the strategy game based onprimary school English teaching, and for teaching the game.
