University is not only the cradle of cultivating the senior talents of creativity, but also animportant base for scientific research. However, with the development of economy and socialenvironment, academic misconduct begins to breed and expand constantly. It seriously affectsthe orderly development of academic research in university. While relevant fields of academicmisconduct become bigger and bigger and the form presents a trend of diversification. Thisphenomenon induces the serious effect on society. Frequent academic misconduct again raisesprofound reflection of educational administrations and administrators in university. How toeffectively restrain academic misconduct and establish a set of restriction mechanism hasgradually became the direction and topic of many scholars carrying on research. In order toimprove the study of the subject, this thesis analyzes characteristics, generation mechanism ofthe academic misconduct, current situation and difficulties of the restriction mechanism on thebasis of academic misconduct and related concepts. Then this thesis explores the basic path ofacademic misconduct restriction mechanism.This thesis analyzes the situation from four aspects. Firstly, the paper analyzes basiccharacteristics of current academic misconduct, which includes subjective features, formalfeatures, cognitive features and influencing features. Secondly, the paper analyzes themechanism of academic misconduct from different angles. The research probes into thereason of academic misconduct based on social anomie theory, institutionalism theory andrational choice theory. Thirdly, this paper summarizes the current situation and difficulties ofacademic misconduct restriction mechanism though analyzing the current situation ofacademic misconduct constraint mechanism from the view of concept, institution, skill andconcerned benefit. Fourthly, this paper proposes the basic path of improving the academicmisconduct restriction mechanism. Specifically, this study investigates the main strategies toconstruct and improve the academic misconduct restriction mechanism from five aspects. Thefirst strategy is sticking to prevention first and discipline as a supplement to construct a newacademic misconduct restriction concept. The second strategy is establishing restrictionmanagement institutions to strengthen the subjective role of the multidimensional academicmisconduct restriction. The third strategy is constructing the education system in terms ofsincerity and reliability to form the moral academic environment. The fourth strategy isstandardizing procedures of restriction mechanism to establish a scientific system of academicevaluation. The fifth strategy is establishing an effective supervision mechanism to enhancethe power of punishment and so on.
