Research On Early Warning Mechanism Of Academic Misconduct In Japan

At present,the international competition is more and more reflected in the competition of science and technology.Countries have increased investment in education and attached great importance to the cultivation of talents.Higher education has entered the stage of popularization.However,academic misconduct has seriously threatened the quality of education and hindered the development of science and technology.The research on academic misconduct in foreign countries is earlier,and has formed a relatively mature management system and mode to a certain extent.Therefore,it has reference value for the research on academic misconduct in China.Taking the early warning mechanism of academic misconduct in Japan as the research object,the author firstly defines the concepts of academic misconduct and early warning mechanism,and deeply interprets the "pre" and "warning" in the early warning mechanism of academic misconduct in Japan with the help of ethics and game theory.The Japanese government,academic groups,research institutions and universities have formed a linkage mechanism to play their respective roles in the prevention and treatment of the disease.Secondly,through the case study method,this paper analyzes the behavior choices made by Japanese researchers in the face of accusations of academic misconduct,and explores the cultural background behind the special behavior choices.It is found that the sense of honor generated by Japanese shame culture can make scientific research workers act with more bottom line.In addition,Japan also attaches great importance to the education of scientific research ethics,and all subjects cooperate with each other to implement a comprehensive education of scientific research ethics for scientific researchers.Through the moral heteronomy formed by the external cultural atmosphere and the moral self-discipline formed by the research ethics education,academic misconduct can be prevented.Thirdly,in order to improve the current situation of academic misconduct in Japan,the Japanese government,research institutions,academic groups and universities have issued policies and guidelines one after another,and established a post-processing mechanism of academic misconduct led by the government and coordinated by other subjects.For the report of academic misconduct,there is a relatively complete set of procedures,and the details of the terms in each link improve the efficiency of handling.For the punishment of academic misconduct,different punishment methods should be adopted according to the investigation results and the degree of bad behavior.Through the punishment of academic misconduct,let the follow-up researchers clear the adverse consequences of academic misconduct,which is equivalent to early warning,in order to regulate their academic behavior.Finally,through literature research,we find that the early warning mechanism of academic misconduct in Japan has both advantages and disadvantages.Combined with the current situation of academic misconduct in China,through comparative study,this paper points out the enlightenment suggestions brought by the early warning mechanism of academic misconduct in Japan.
