With the Internet development, the new network technologies are springing upconstantly. As a new medium, micro-blog with the features of “novelty”“quickness”and “convenience” is paid attention to by people, especially by the college studentswho have active thought and strong acceptance. Nowadays, micro-blog has been theimportant ways for college students to get information, communicate with each otherand express opinions. Therefore, this paper mainly study the relationship of themicro-blog, college students and ideological and political education research, in orderto find the correspondence, truly combine the micro-blog with the ideological andpolitical education and actively explore the new modes of ideological and politicaleducation under the micro-blog environment.This paper is divided into four parts to make the research on the application ofmicro-blog innovation of ideological and political education of college students. Thefirst part briefly discusses the use of micro-blog in ideological and political education,on the basic knowledge of micro-blog as the breakthrough point, analysis the use ofmicro-blog situation of the college students, so we can conduct a feasibility analysisthat micro-blog is the carrier of ideological and political education of college students.The second part mainly expounds the influence of micro-blog on college students’ideological and political education, from the ideological and political education itself,education, environment and public opinion three aspects. From the study we have tosay the micro-blog brings to the ideological and political education great opportunitiesand challenges. So it makes us have a right comprehension of micro-blog and lay afoundation for micro-blog’s application in college ideological and political education.The third part is the focus of the full text, discusses the application model of usingmicro-blog to innovate the ideological and political education of college students,from the education concept, education method, education platform three aspects,which expounds that how innovate the ideological and political education of collegestudents to make micro-blog maximize its positive role and better to serve ideologicaland political education. The fourth part mainly analyzes the implementation of micro-blog playing a role in the ideological and political education, proposing tocreate a good educational environment, improving teachers’ quality, constructingstudents’ network morality and setting up students’ legal sense.
