Proposing a new round of curriculum reform not only promote the development ofquality education, but also speed up the process of modernization of education. On the onehand, teacher is the key factor of implementation of the new curriculum reform; on the otherhand, the constantly deepening of the new curriculum reform, to provide the necessaryconditions and the correct direction for the professional development of teachers. Therefore,how teachers develop themselves and realize the professional growth will affect the effectiveimplementation of the new curriculum reform, thus influencing the development of society.Constantly implementation of teacher’s professional development is a problem that should beattached great importance for government education departments at all levels, as well asprimary and secondary school.The new curriculum reform has been implemented for about ten years in HainanProvince. However, influenced by the inherent education ideology and teaching behavior ofthe teacher, many teachers still have difficulty in adapting to the new curriculumrequirements, which led to a lot of problems in the process of teacher professionaldevelopment, severely affecting the overall quality of teachers. This paper made an in-depthinvestigation of the current situation of teachers’ professional development in the key middleschool of Wanning City, Hainan province in the form of questionnaire survey and interviews.It analyzes the key factors influencing teacher professional development, according to theresults of the survey of teachers in their professional development in the process of problem,put forward some reference suggestion.
