| With the in-depth understanding of the importance of Education and development of educationreform, the development of teacher has become a more and more important social issue. at present a newround course reform had carried out under the background of overall promoting quality education, Thismeasure is an important part of our country adopt to cope with the future development of the new century.And whether we can achieve the desired goal of curricular reforms, teaching reform is to achieve a newgoal, depending if our country has a high-quality professional training team.As a big educational province with numerous people, During the new course reform has carriedout for five years in Henan province, the education department hopes to have an integral understanding ofthe specialized development of high school biology teachers, as a part of the course reform of teachingprojects in education department.This subject will last for one year,the object is biology teachers in Henanprovince, it contains sexuality, ages of teaching, professional title,methods of teaching etc, combining witheconomy, politics, geography. We have invested88high schools,880teachers and45middle schools,207teachers. And we have received first-hand information about the professional status of middle schoolbiology teachers in Henan.The statistical results were compared in three dimensions: Comparison of the present situation ofspecialized status between high school biology teachers and junior high school biology teachers in HenanProvince, County town middle school biology teachers and city school biology teachers,key middle schoolbiology teachers and Ordinary high school biology teachers.Main results are as follows:the ratio between male teachers and female teachers in high is about2:3, and the rate among young teachers (teaching experience under5years),middle aged teachers(teaching experience between6and25years) and old teachers(teaching experience above25years) is3:6:1. Thejunior middle school biology teachers in the first degree for college or above accounted for78.8%,accounting for46.4%of the undergraduate education;the high school biology teachers in the first degree ofundergraduate education accounting for84.1%; highest degree of middle school biology teachers is3.9%,which is16.6%in high school; middle school biology teachers graduated from local universities,provincial colleges, universities directly under the Ministry of education is about10:8:1, which is3:14:2inhigh school; the rate of professional counterparts in middle school biology teachers is58.9%,97.3%inhigh school; and8:1:1in middle school,1:3:1in high school of experimental course opened, a few basicopen, and do not open; and8:1:1in middle school,1:3:1in high school of experimental course opened,a few basic open, and do not open; Continuing education for high school teachers is90%, and theproportion of writing papers is about70%.In addition, in the city key high school, male teachers’ proportion (70%) is significantly higherthan the city key middle school (15.4%). In the city key middle school, biology teachers whose first degreeis bachelor is as high as92.3%,20%of them graduated from colleges and universities directly under theministry of education,while in county town, teachers whose first degree is bachelor in junior high school is7.3%, none of them graduated from universities directly under the ministry of education; but theproportion of bachelor degree of teachers have no obvious difference between all kinds of high school, allat about80%.Through the investigation we can conclude the following conclusions.(1)Different regions,different school levels, different gender of teachers have different proportion, the overall proportion presenta female teacher is on the high side.(2) Biology teachers in high school is rapidly expanding,this instructioncan help the integration between school education and modern society,but experienced teachers are relatively insufficient,;it may also restrict the growth of young teachers to an extent.(3) Teaching in highschool and key high school has more attraction to tall education talents.(4) As a steady and special job, thekey high is more attractive to higher education graduates.(5) Low proportion of graduate student degree inbiology teacher.(6) For high school biology teachers recruitment, higher request for senior high schoolbiology teacher professional quality, urban middle school for biology teacher professional qualityrequirements are higher.(7) The government’s policy and support have play an active effect in ruralcompulsory education.(8)In henan province high school biology teaching, multimedia teaching has beenwidely popular, but the opening of the LABS shortcomings, especially in high school.(9)The middle schoolbiology teachers are now gradually build up the idea of lifelong learning, teaching and research the idea ofunity.According to the analysis of the collected data about this project, we can have a understanding ofthe current development situation of high schools’ biology teachers in Henan province, which also providereference and guidance for the advance of biology curriculum reform in high school and help buildhigh-caliber biology teachers. |
