Writing teaching is an important part of Chinese teaching in middle school, and it has important implications on middle school students’ Chinese and other subjects learning. For a long time, the problem of low efficiency and low levels in writing teaching has always obsessed teachers, parents and students, teachers were trying to reform writing teaching with reforming writing training content, training methods, training evaluation methods, and increasing the amount of training, but they still haven’t solve the problem fundamentally. Parents also tried to solve the problem with hiring a tutor, but long-term counseling did not make children get much improvement in writing, which made parents be headache. The writing in middle school has become an important issue affecting teaching quality and children’s development, so it needs to be researched and solved.With the survey of questionnaire, interview, observation, and document literature, the thesis attempted to know middle school students’ feeling about current writing training and differences among groups, get middle school students’ overall level of writing quality and differences among groups, analyze the internal relations between the current level of writing training and writing quality, find existing problems in current writing training and give countermeasures to solve the problem.By using a self-made questionnaire, the thesis took627students which extracted from three grades including Grade One, Grade Two and Grade Three in two middle schools in Yanji city as research objects, and focused on knowing the status of writing training (training content, training methods and training evaluation methods), the current level of writing quality (writing knowledge, writing ability and writing affective) and differences among groups, by observing classroom teaching, the performance of students on class and after class, analyzing<junior high school Chinese curriculum standards>,<Chinese> textbooks, teachers’ teaching plans and students’ homework, analyzing the internal relations between writing training and writing quality, finding problems existing in writing training and giving some improvement measures.Investigation results suggested that the overall level of writing training in Han nationality middle school is general(mean3.36), and from Grade One to Grade Three the level is from high to low; the overall level of writing quality is also general(mean3.31), and from Grade One to Grade Three, the level is declining first then rising; it showed a significant correlation between every dimension of writing training and writing quality, and the writing training can predict the change of writing quality in some way.At present, the following problems exist in writing training in middle school: writing training content is not comprehensive and systematic, writing training methods and writing training evaluation methods are single, the adaptation of writing training is weak. And those problems were caused by following six reasons: curriculum standards haven’t made specific provisions to writing teaching goals, teaching material’s design and guide are not systematic, teachers’consciousness of reform and innovation is not strong, traditional teaching methods, class size is too large, students’ initiative and creativity are not enough. The thesis suggested we should perfect curriculum standards from perfecting the overall and learning period goals and contents of writing training, clearing training method and operation requirements, putting forward a various of evaluation method of writing training; Perfect the textbooks from the specific writing training contents, systematic guidance a various of operation steps of training methods, perfecting a various of manners of evaluation system; Advice teachers to carry out creative guidance from strengthening the guidance of article of the framework structure, choosing suitable diversified training methods, integrated using various of writing training evaluation, highlighting teaching students in accordance of their aptitude; Suggest junior middle school students to carry out the personality writing training from consciously strengthening writing training, using a variety of training methods, actively participating in various composition evaluation activities.
