Suzhou, a relatively high level of economic development (It has reached theinternational level), the level of education is also a leader in Jiangsu Province and thecountry. However, Suzhou New District high school physical education is not well adaptedto this kind of modern education. Physical education objectives, content, and teachersthose should play functional factors didn’t make function, physical education is not goodto stimulate student’s interest in learning. students’ subjectivity and creativity is difficult toplay its function. In recent years, Suzhou’s high school physical education reform hasbecome one of our teachers’ important issues. In order to better enable the Suzhou NewDistrict high school physical education development of the times, better play sports fitnesseducation, entertainment and other functions to promote healthy development of youngpeople, it is necessary to Suzhou New District Middle School Physical Education status ofthe investigation analyzed and discussed in-depth research and teaching of practicalproblems, investigation and analysis are a junior high school physical education status;put forward some practical proposals; promoting junior Suzhou New District, thecoordinated development of physical education and physical education reform.Using literature, questionnaire, interview, logical analysis, mathematical statisticsand other methods to Suzhou New District Secondary eleven junior high school included330students and22teachers in sports sample of status of implementation of the newcurriculum standards, from the status of physical education teachers, sports teachingsituation, security conditions of physical education and sports in the examination of theimpact of other aspects of the investigation, the following conclusions:(1)The diplomas ofthe P.E. teachers are mainly graduate in Suzhou New District Middle School. The titlestructure is fairly reasonable. Most teachers have the consciousness and ability ofscientific research. Teachers’ workload is heavy, but they are well trained inbusiness.(2)All the teachers of Suzhou New District Middle School can change the traditional teaching idea, and set up a guiding ideology: Health First.(3)The executionand implementation of “sports and health standards” is not good.(4)Most Junior HighSchools in Suzhou New District open full P.E. classes. Teaching contents are mainlyabout physical quality and senior high school entrance examination of sports, but teachingskills are less. Though the dominant teaching methods are traditional, teachers are able touse information teaching equipment.(5)Most students here like P.E. class, and participatein activities, but not too many are active. The first three sports items that are loved bygirls are badminton, skidding, and basketball. Over50%of the students feel happy withP.E. class.(6)Big break sports activities can be carried out in every Junior High Schoolin Suzhou New District. Most students are able to take part in extracurricular activitiesthree times or more, yet some students do little exercise.(7)Most of the teachers here thinkeach school principal pay attention to P.E. teaching, and the site equipment status is good.The majority of the P.E. teachers consider it can meet the needs of Physical Educationtearching, and most students are very satisfied with these site equipment.
