Our school courses based on "pluralistic, open, interactive" concept, according to the students’ learning needs, surrounding communities and school education resource advantage and development of the "Chinese herbs to explore the" school-based curriculum. Let students can feel the culture of traditional Chinese medicine at an early age, this can not only show the unique style of traditional Chinese medicine, more conducive to inspire the student to the traditional Chinese culture identity and a sense of pride, cultivate the spirit of the active exploration, inheritance and development of Chinese medicine.Papers for "school-based curriculum" and " inquiry learning " done theoretical research, on the principle of curriculum development, concept, the foundation of the curriculum and conditions are fully expounded. Proposed courses in Chinese herbs planting activities of three characteristics:(1) and the combination of science inquiry activity for a long period of time;2. The teaching contents according to the students need to be flexible change;3. The design considerations of inquiry activity of different age groups. On this basis, this study has experienced the SWOT (questionnaire) learning situation analysis, requirement analysis, syllabus design, course content choice, inquiry activity, teaching design, evaluation design. Courses spanning one to five grade, grade for each design for different levels of inquiry activity, pay attention to the students in the process of activity experience; Improve students’ observation, experiment, inductive analysis and so on various aspects ability, gradually cultivate the students’ scientific attitude and scientific spirit.Through research, the following conclusions are drawn:1. The cultivation and maintenance of plant offers opportunities for the students and intimate contact with nature, rich life experience, the students also inspired cherish life, love the natural emotion;2."do your own research" improved the students ability of scientific inquiry, cultivate students’good attitude of scientific inquiry, and obtained certain achievements;3. The course in the process of learning, students through various means to try to solve some unexpected problems, the ability to analyze and solve problems is improved.4. The school-based curriculum development, design, implementation, evaluation and reflection in the process of teachers’ professional ability is a challenge, also exercise and improve. In practice, also found some problems existing in the curriculum, to be in the process of the implementation of the future constantly improved and perfected.
