| At the beginning of2012, the Ministry of Education proceeds to organize the construction works of the national top-quality video open courses. It uses modern information technology to strengthen the development, popularization and sharing of quality education resources which can improve the quality of the higher education and service the construction of the learning society. Due to the national top-quality video open courses spreading and sharing through the Internet, the knowledge system is acquired through learning based on the Internet. Therefore, the Internet has become one of necessary approaches to learning in the higher education. The importance of university physics is self-evident as the basis of science and engineering courses. In the process of university physics integrated with information technology, we find that about a third of students in varying degrees of web-based learning adaptability are undesirable because of the differences of web-based learning and classroom teaching. This situation results in unsatisfactory university physics grades and waste of high input web-based learning resources.In order to investigate into science and engineering students’ characteristics as well as their learning status while studying basic courses online, web-based learning adaptability questionnaires are provided on the basis of summarizing the web-based learning adaptability research at home and abroad. The students of science and engineering from33majors in HNU are the objects of this survey and University Physics being the course in this study. Using SPSS19.0software and the physics paradigm based on statistical theory, which is called the factor analysis method, we abandon secondary factors, highlight main factors and make the cluster analysis as well as dimensionality reduction on the multidimensional variables, thereby gaining the11factors statistical model of web-based learning adaptability. According to the model, this paper analysis the university students of different grades stage in university physical web-based learning adaptability characteristics. On the basis of the sample statistics results, we analyze the impact factors and the present situation of science and engineering students’web-based learning adaptability. Meanwhile, strategies of intervention are then proposed under the three elements such as learners, teachers and administrative departments. And diverse stages of grades students are included. In addition, the paper sets up weight for every indicator reasonably and establishes web-based learning adaptability performance appraisal scale. The performance appraisal scale is not only can be used to assess students’web-based learning adaptability ability, but also can help students find disadvantages and provide guidance for teachers’ targeted intervention.Students were given targeted intervention and guidance in a period of time by making the performance appraisal scale on trial in groups in a small area. According to students’achievement improved greatly after intervention, it is proved that the performance appraisal scale which can improve effectively the web-based learning performance. |
