A Study Of Cultivating Social Responsibility Status Among Contemporary College Students

As an important social group, college students who have a higher education, scientific knowledge and cultural qualities are the future and prospective of our country, and the constructors of socialism. They shoulder the historical responsibility to revitalize the nation and build a moderately prosperous society, which play an important role in building the process of harmonious socialism. Social responsibility is an important part of students’ moral qualities. The strength of its social responsibility impacts their own moral quality level, and the cultivation and practice of socialist core values in prosperous, democratic, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, friendliness, and the development of a harmonious society. Undoubtedly, with the rapid development of globalization, science and technology, and the profound impact of the market economy, college students are affected in moral, thinking and behavior by this phenomenon to varying degrees. Their social responsibility is also inevitable. Therefore, it is very important to strengthen their social responsibility education in the new situation, which, meanwhile, is an important ideological and political task faced by college.This paper begins with the concept of responsibility to discuss the sense of responsibility and the sense of social responsibility and other related concepts, to define the related concepts systematically and comprehensively, thus further clarify the characteristics of college students’sense of social responsibility. According to the methods of the empirical survey data and consulting references to analyze students in Hainan University’s social responsibility. Survey data show that the social responsibility of Hainan college students is positive in general. However, there are still some worrying issues such as social responsibility awareness, and the low level of understanding, misplaced values, utilitarian, practical highlights, social responsibility and behavior contrary, weak sense of self and other issues. This paper analyzes the reasons both objective and subjective for problems college students’social responsibility.
