The world takes us into a new era in the course of the twinkling of an eye. In this time, we are feeling the scientific information and the digital technology. And we are delighted with the arrival of the information education. The focus of the educators is not only to pass on knowledge to their students, but is to cultivate the creative spirit and the autonomous learning ability."Modern Education Technology" is an optional course which is must be taken by the free normal students in the Central China Normal University. The goal of the course is to improve their ability of information technology in teaching skills. But the course of the experimental part is influenced by the traditional teaching mode at present, the class is still teachers’teaching and students’practicing. As a result, students’individualized learning is hardly realized. The mechanical memory can only be effective in the short term. So the learning effect is not good.The research starts from the practical problem of the experimental teaching. We try to apply the "Mini-course" mode to teach and learn. We will apply appropriate teaching methods according to the content of the course, and make the appropriate teaching strategies, and design the purposeful activity to construct the knowledge actively. We design a controlled trial, and take free normal students in Central China Normal University who elective the course. The experiment group applies the mini-course mode, while the other group applies the traditional method. And we make an experimental data analysis on learning interest and attitudes, learning habits and methods and independent learning ability of students. The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter Ⅰ:Elaborate the background of the study, the status on mini-course at home and abroad, the purpose and the method of this study.Chapter Ⅱ:Firstly, introduce the definition and characteristics of mini-course. Then, differentiate the concept of similarity. At last, elaborate the theories foundation.Chapter Ⅲ:Introduce the components and the enforcing types. And analyze the classic cases. At last, summarize the design principles and the procedure about the min-course.Chapter Ⅳ:Elaborate the prophase analysis of "Mode Education Technology" of mini-course mode, the contents and the present teaching and learning situation and the design concept. At last, we try to design the implementation templates. Chapter Ⅴ:Introduce the "Modern Education Technology "experimental course in mini-course mode, analyze the subjects, and propose the research hypotheses and the design concept. And then, we use SPSS software to make the data analysis.Chapter Ⅵ:Summarize the entire research process, and reflect the lack of the research. Finally, we look forward to the prospects of the future research.
