Cooperation is one of the subjects of the development of modern society. In the future, withthe social division of labor getting more and more detailed, each field of the society has higherrequirement for the individual’s cooperation consciousness, cooperation skills and the spirit ofcooperation. So learning to cooperate and then being good at cooperation has become an importantquality of modern people. And cooperative learning has been the most important and successfulteaching reform in recent decades because it is a creative and effective teaching theory and strategy.It is a process that learners in the team strive to achieve a common goal through independentthinking, independent exploration, cooperation, exchange, experimental tests, comprehensiveevaluation, introspection and finally promotion. It is a kind of mutual learning with clearresponsibility and division of labor.With the deepening of the reform of classroom teaching, classroom teaching form is changing.Group cooperative learning starts being brought into classroom and becomes a new way oflearning. It is widely used in middle and primary schools of our country because the teaching effectis remarkable. Cooperative learning in the science teaching of junior middle school is beneficialboth to teachers and students. Thanks to cooperative learning, students can share resource withother students as well as their teachers. They can easily exchange information and communicatebetter with each other. And it can easily set off the collision of the thought and inspiration betweenteachers and students. It’s good for cultivating the students’ language ability and logical thinkingability. It’s also helpful to inspire students’ innovation consciousness and develop their creativeability. As a result, students’ learning initiative is stimulated and students become activeparticipants in teaching activities, which shows students subjectivity. Group cooperative learningprovides the opportunity not only for every student to show and train themselves but also to learnto accept others, appreciate others and learn from each other while evaluating others. Finally, as thesaying goes: Teaching others teaches yourself.Based on the "team cooperation study" for key words in the Chinese web search, since2004,with the theme, has reached more than6600papers. If we search "cooperative learning group,junior middle school science teaching" as the keyword again, only more than100papers can befound, and most of which were journal articles. Thus the study about cooperative learning inscience subject of junior middle school were rare.This article tries to investigate the part of the disciplines of science (HuaShiDa version) as theresearch object, which includes the source of the theory of cooperative learning group, theoreticalbasis, the establishment of the cooperative learning group, the spatial location arrangement, the role of teachers and students in cooperative learning group, group cooperative learning skills,cooperative learning in the teaching process, the strategy to improve the effectiveness of groupcooperative learning, cooperative learning group evaluation and reflection, etc. The application ofGroup cooperative learning teaching mode in science teaching practice, conforms to the core ideaof new curriculum standard, it can be better able to face all students, promotes the communicationbetween students and teachers, strengthens students’ sense of cooperation, and can greatly improveteaching effectiveness, and cultivate the students’ ability of cooperation and competitionconsciousness, lay a foundation for the sustainable development of the students.
