| The new mathematics curriculum of senior high school has been implemented for10years. So far, the provinces (city or autonomous regions) have all joined the ranksof the implementation of the new curriculum. To revise the "standard" program is alsobeing implemented. Promoting the new curriculum as a dynamic process ofdevelopment, people really require sustained attention and reflection. This study aimsto investigate the status of implementation of senior high school new math curriculum,through understanding the new curriculum of teachers and students, provide areference for the course "standard" revised and the overall design of high schoolmathematics curriculum.This study focuses on the general problem is that "how is the new status of seniorhigh school mathematics curriculum implementation exactly?" Specifically, this studyfocused on several specific issues as follows: which achieved success in the entirehigh school mathematics new curriculum implementation? What are the deficienciesstill exist? In future, what needs to be done to implement the new mathematicscurriculum improvements of senior high school?Teachers and students as a direct participant in the new curriculumimplementation, they have the deepest experience for curriculum change. Therefore,this study attempted to base on a common perspective between the teachers and thestudents. Survey method, Interview method and comparison method are mainly adaptto study and discuss problems. On the investigation of specific dimensions design,theteacher questionnaire choose eight dimensions: the external conditions of the newmathematics curriculum implementation, achievement of the objectives of the newmathematics curriculum, understanding of new mathematics teaching material,recognition of the new mathematics curriculum, adaptation of the new mathematicscurriculum, professional development of mathematics teachers, evaluation of the newmathematics curriculum, understanding of mathematics teaching activities; thestudent questionnaire choose four dimensions: understanding of new mathematics teaching material, adaptation of the new mathematics curriculum, evaluation of thenew mathematics curriculum, understanding of mathematics teaching activities.Attempting to reveal the status of high school mathematics new curriculumimplementation, summarizing the effectiveness, finding the problems and improvingthe suggestions for the implementation, provide reference and basis for the smoothimplementation of the new mathematics curriculum in the future.Through in-depth investigation and analysis, the study conclude the mainlyachieved results: High school mathematics curriculum objectives to achieve is better;All the teachers and students agree and adapt the new high school mathematicscurriculum reform; Teaching and learning methods have undergone positive changes,there has been a tendency to diversify; Development evaluation system is graduallyformed. The main problems are: lack of concern for high school math teachers in thenew curriculum "standard"; elective course still affected by the College EntranceExamination, did not reflect the selectivity of the new curriculum; fewer trainingopportunities for teachers, lower level of satisfaction for the training effect; teachersand students have differences in understanding of classroom behavior; examinationresults are still the main basis for the evaluation, the achievement of evaluationdiversification is difficult.Reflections from the survey conclusions of the senior high school newmathematics curriculum implementation, propose the following recommendations:Teachers should depth understanding of curriculum "standards" to grasp the basicrequirements of curriculum implementation; correct positioning of elective courses toensure the effective implementation of the elective subject; strengthen teacher training,improved teacher training methods; teachers should strengthen students’understanding and improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching; implementcurriculum evaluation program, to further improve the evaluation system. |
