Teaching Design And Practicalstudy On Cultivating The Development Of "Chemical Literacy Related To Life" For High School Students

Scientific literacy research is an important field in recentdecades in which chemical literacy exists as an crucial part.Meanwhile, Chemical Literacy Related to Life is an importantcomponent to chemical literacy. Besides, the new chemistrycurriculum standards also encourage that chemistry should be morerelated to real life, which points out exactly the importance ofcultivation of senior school students of Chemical Literacy Relatedto Life. Although the new high school curriculum has been put intoeffect for14years, there still exist plenty of problems of teachingpractice of "Chemistry and Life" module.This research uses Chemical Literacy Related to Life elementarystudies, especially teaching design module focusing on facilitatingthe development of Chemical Literacy Related to Life, based on"Chemistry and Life" published by the People’s Education PublishingHouse, uses the second year senior students as the objects of studywhich are40students of experimental class and40students of controlclass, and actualize a series of teaching practice to two classeswith a teaching design facilitating the development of ChemicalLiteracy Related to Life and one that prepared by the school teachinggroup. After the study of the "Chemistry and Life" for the wholesemester, the students get tested for their Chemical Literacy Relatedto Life and the teaching practice get analyzed and discussed to judgethe effect of the Chemical Literacy Related to Life so that we canpromote and complete the teaching design module of facilitating thedevelopment of Chemical Literacy Related to Life. At the end of theresearch, it draws a conclusion of the features of facilitating thedevelopment of Chemical Literacy Related to Life by teachingpractice.
