The Correlation Between Smartphone Usage And Interpersonal Relationship In Secondary School Students

21st century is called the era of electronic information, following with maturityof internet technology, Mobile communication technology&Wireless networktechnology has been developed within few years. Smartphone, as a carrier ofmobile communication technology&Wireless network technology, is becomedramatically popular. Smartphone is not only change the way of communication,but also broaden the networks between different people. A middle school or a highschool student how to use Smartphone is affecting their interpersonal situationabout communication objects&communication way. This study investigated thecorrelation from Smartphone usage of middle school students&high schoolstudents between students’ interpersonal relationship. Survey the Smartphone usagefrom six aspects, like students using smart phone for entertainment&for net surf.Using Interpersonal Relationship Integrative Diagnostic Scale to investigate middleschool&high school students’ interpersonal relationship, the results is that thedisturbance of students’ interpersonal relationship are very heavy especially inmaking friends&Interpersonal conversation. Disturbance of students inheterosexual contact is at middle level. The time which students use for listeningmusic, reading E-books, viewing photos etc is have positive correlation withinterpersonal disturbance. The time of calling monthly have correlation withmaking friends disturbance, the Smartphone charge monthly have correlation withheterosexual contacts disturbance.
