Nowadays,social competition becomes more and more increasingly fierce, jobburnout as a new kind of social epidemic disease has appeared which seriouslyaffected people’s living and working. A number of studies indicate that teachers areeasier to have job burnout than other people. Currently, physical education in middleschool is in the embarrassed environment. Although national policies fully supportphysical education, it is unsatisfactory in real operation process. In this kind ofenvironment, physical education teachers will not play their roles, and the quality ofteaching also will be affected by job burnout. So, the research of middle school P.Eteachers job burnout is very useful and valuable.The author has consulted a number of information about job burn out, and deeplyinvestigated the present situation of the middle school P.E teachers. Based on this, theauthor define the P.E teachers job burnout as: it is P.E teachers inhospitalityand negative attitude for job due to be ignored by school and society for a long timeand be lack of achievement sense. The results show that middle school P.E teachersoccupation satisfaction is very low. Among them, the urban P.E teachersoccupation satisfaction is lower than the country P.E teacher, and the women P.Eteacher is lower than the men P.E teacher. Form analysing the surface phenomenon ofmiddle school P.E teachers job burnout can find out that: the occupational glory ofthe middle school P.E teacher is disappearing; puzzle from the middle schoolcurriculum; unintentional injury that physical education classes bring to students.They all compose the reason of middle school P.E teachers job burnout. But, withthe deepening of research, the root reasons come out: compared with othercurriculums, middle school P.E education is marginalized; society and school did notestablish correct recognition; some teachers communication ability and personalhumanistic quality are very low; with the increasing of the P.E teachers workingtime, part of the P.E teachers level of technique and professional dedication are alldecreasing. Accroding to these questions, if we want to change the current situation, ithas to follow the next steps: first, the P.E teachers should improve their humanistic quality, enhance their technique level, and make the phasical education as their careerto keep striving; at the same time, society and school should thoroughly conduct thenational education policy, construct good external environment for middle schoolphysical education. It also has to re-examine the important role that physicaleducation play in education, and creating opportunities for middle school teacherscareer.
