From Information Construction To The Behavior Outburast: The Generation Mechanism Of Network Collective Behavior

With the extensive development of the Internet， the aggregation behaviorpublishing and disseminating information on the Internet for the purpose of makingthe public opinion and venting the discontent becomes a new type of collective actionevents. As a result, it already affects the operation and development of society. Andexploring the formation mechanism of Network collective behavior can help us graspthe new features and new trends of the development of collective action in the newmedia age. What’s more, it can also help us deepen the understanding of the collectiveaction to make a contribution to promote the orderly development of the Internet spaceThe author make full use of grounded theory to analyze three typical collectivebehavior events which happen in the cyberspace and give the conclusion that there arethree common factors affecting the happen of network collective behavior. They arenamed information construction, common psychology and behavior outburst, whichinteract and promote the generation of network collective behavior. Specifically, it canbe divided into four parts. At first, the meta-information of network events isconstructed to become the network information by the influence of Social emotions andthe social background, as a result of identity construction and event location. Secondly,during the process of information construction, the opinion leaders spread theconstructed information to attract others attention and want to lead the ordinary netizento form the same view. As a result, the netizen’s view is focalized gradually, and thenthey begin to distribute the information. So the network groups are formed. Thirdly,each member of network groups completed the self-construction and group constructionon basis of sharing the experience. So the inner community forms the commonpsychological cognition including the psychological distance and common perception.With the expansion of groups, the community generates the common aspirations. At last,the common aspirations intensify the members’emotion, which made the members wantto express the aspirations. Then the network collective behavior break out. As a whole,the generation process of network collective behavior make the individual eventstranslate into the mass incidents which is the result of Social structure contradiction.
