With the rapid development of smart phones, tablet PCs, PDAs (Personal DigitalAssistants), Surface, google glasses and so on, which are as the representative of smart mobiledevices, mobile games based on these smart mobile devices are becoming more popular. Ourdaily lives have been filled with mobile games. Due to the immeasurable great potential ofmobile learning games in the field of learning and education in future, mobile learning gamesare bound to become a hot research topic. The abilities of mobile learning games incultivating students’ interest, enthusiasm and self-learning are better than other learningmethods.Current domestic and international researches exists the four problems through studyingthe research of domestic and international mobile learning games.1) It lacked of researches on the characteristics of mobile devices and mobile userexperience.2) It lacked of the mobile learning game design method based on smart mobile devices.3) It lacked of mobile gamification learning research on knowledge of universitycurriculums.4) Educational games could not combine the knowledge of curriculum with gamefunctions smoothly.The research carried out the following works to solve these problems.1) The research established the mobile user experience model of educational games,including features of smart mobile devices, the commonality and particularity of mobile userexperience design and the mobile user experience model.2) The research proposed the level design method with user-centered, including thedefinition of mobile learning games, five levels of the level design method-orientation layer,device layer, function layer, knowledge layer and interface layer of game.3) The research designed the mobile learning game based on projection knowledge of theengineering drawing curriculum-Invade UFO. With the guidance of level design method, theresearch designed the mobile learning game according to the sequence of orientation layer,device layer, function layer, knowledge layer and interface layer.4) The research integrated of the design of orientation layer and device layer. It solvedthe problem of how to effectively combine the knowledge of curriculum with game functionssmoothly.5) The research carried out game development based on the game engine Cocos2d-x, including the architecture of game engine Cocos2d-x, the selection of application model,development process and solving key technical problems in the mobile learning game.The design practice has proven that the level design method with user-centered caneffectively guide the design of mobile learning game. The mobile learning game based onprojection knowledge of the engineering drawing curriculum can effectively combine theknowledge of curriculum with game functions smoothly, which is guiden by the level designmethod. It balanced the education and entertainment of educational games. Therefore, theresearch provided a better solution to those problems raised above. Moreover, the project isthe first to research on mobile learning games of university courses based on smarttouch-screen mobile phones. It shows prospective and fills the gaps in gamification learningresearch on university courses. The research can provide a reference and feasible way formobile gamification teaching research on knowledge of other courses in future.
